3D SHOOT :  Saturday 23rd August 2025, Brixham 24th.

Open shoot Day1 – Ashcombe with 40 x 3D Targets, Day 2 – Brixham with 36 Targets .

The wet weather at the beginning of the week cleared on Friday and Saturday morning started with a sunny clear day as the archers arrived in time for their bacon baps for breakfast.  

Our catering team were kept busy, especially early morning with the failure of the water boiler, the only problem in an otherwise perfect day, and at lunch time when all the exercise meant a big demand on the pulled pork and dressing at lunch..

There was a short delay while we waited for some late arrivals but the walk out ran smoothly and the shoot started only slightly after 10:00AM with 60 archers competing, and one just along for the shoot.

The shoot ran smoothly and we received a number of compliments on the course and arrangements, special mention to our course setters who were congratulated on setting a challenging course.

As this was a joint shoot with a prize giving on the second day we had an early finish and were wrapped up by 16:00.
